Industry gathers for Horticulture Sustainability Summit

Hort Innovation and the International Fresh Produce Association recently hosted the inaugural Horticulture Sustainability Summit in Sydney.
More than 50 industry representatives, including APAL, gathered to discuss actions that need to be taken for collaborative, industry-wide sustainability.
The summit reflects a broader shift among consumers and industry investors to move towards sustainability, stewardship and ethical food production systems. As such, it is important to get industry on the same page in shared discussions.
The information gathered at the Summit will help form part of the Australian-grown Horticulture Sustainability Report (expected completion in October), an inaugural reporting document that provides baseline data aligned with the focus areas within The Sustainability Framework.
