Business Development Group Update – April 2018

The April 2018 newsletter introduces Nic Finger as the new Business Development Group author and focuses on how growers can use OrchardNet to compare their own blocks with the Future Orchards® Focus Orchard network.

The issue walks growers through the Block Reports and block-analysis functions. These reports rank a selected block against other Australian data for the same variety using Orchard Business Analysis returns and cost information, helping growers identify where a block is performing strongly and where improvement is possible.

Fruit-size monitoring is also included. By combining block profitability information with fruit-growth data, growers can move beyond general impressions and use consistent records to assess production, fruit quality and likely financial performance.
