2026 APAL Awards for Excellence
The APAL Awards for Excellence recognise the outstanding contributions of those who help shape our industry in their respective fields.
Since 1999, the APAL Awards for Excellence program, and its predecessors, have enabled the apple and pear industry to recognise the outstanding achievements of established and emerging growers, researchers, people and businesses working within and for our industry.
In 2026, the APAL Awards for Excellence honours include:
-
Grower of the Year Award
-
Lifetime Achievement Award
-
Industry Rising Star Award
- Orchard Operations
- Research and Extension
- Marketing
- Women in Horticulture
- Environment and Sustainability
- Agritourism
In addition, APAL may present an additional honour, the Outstanding Industry Achievement Award, recognising individuals or businesses whose dedication and impactful contributions have significantly influenced the Australian apple and pear industry. Recognising long-term commitment and innovative initiatives, this accolade highlights those who have driven sustainable growth and continual improvement within the industry, inspiring others to strive for excellence and shaping the apple and pear industry for future generations.
