Participate in the 2025 Orchard Business Analysis
AgFirst is currently recruiting for the 2025 round of the Orchard Business Analysis (OBA)* – a project which is part of APAL’s Future Orchards® program. AgFirst will be collecting production and financial data from contributing orchards across Australia for the year ending December 2024 and the forecast year ending December 2025, to create industry representative orchard models.
Having robust and up-to-date industry data is important and the models created provide a snapshot of the situation of the pome fruit industry and the changes over time. This analysis will be core to:
- understanding how major events have impacted on orchard profitability
- understanding changes in cost categories
- gaining accurate industry data for orchard forecast budgets and decision-making.
Participating orchards will receive production and financial benchmarking reports in recognition of their project contribution.
If your orchard business is interested in participating, please contact Sarah McArley (née de Bruin) from AgFirst on +64 21 175 7263 or [email protected].
*Commissioned by APAL, the Australian Pome Fruit Industry Orchard Business Analysis Report (OBA) is prepared by AgFirst as part of the Future Orchards® program, now part of the Developing orchardists of the future (LP23001) project, which is funded through Hort Innovation Frontiers with co-investment from APAL and Pink Lady® and contributions from the Australian Government. Australian growers can request copies by contacting APAL on [email protected]
