Loss register available to growers impacted by labour lossesIndustry Advocacy
A lack of available labour will hit some harder than others over the next few months, but for all who have losses, it is critical they are recorded and tracked.
APAL is joining the likes of AUSVEG and Growcom in urging growers to fill out the National Lost Crop Register survey to help with the ongoing advocacy surrounding labour.
Submitting evidence through this tool, which is relevant and open to growers of all fruit and vegetables across the country, helps enable industry advocates to perform their role in the best interests of Australia’s primary producers.
The National Lost Crop Register asks for crop, value and location details, including postcodes. This information is voluntary and completely anonymous.
Losses recorded in the register should be only those experienced as a direct result of not having access to enough labour to pick or pack all or some of your produce.
