Data and insights

One of Australia’s most successful entrepreneurs, Tom Potter, will take to the stage at the 2026 APAL Industry Forum to share the business lessons behind building one of the country’s best-known retail success stories.

Best known as the founder of Eagle Boys Pizza, Tom transformed a single pizza store in Albury into a network of more than 300 stores across Australia and New Zealand, earning a reputation as one of Australia’s leading retailers.

His achievements extend well beyond business growth. Tom was named the Australian Financial Review’s Young Business Person of the Year, completed a prestigious scholarship at Harvard Business School as class valedictorian, and has contributed to numerous corporate and government boards throughout his career.

At this year’s forum, Tom will share the experiences, challenges and leadership principles that have shaped his remarkable business journey.

For growers and agribusiness leaders operating in an increasingly competitive environment, the opportunity to learn from someone who has successfully navigated growth, change and long-term business success promises to be both practical and inspiring.
