Have your say on the Harvest ReviewNews
Agriculture Victoria is conducting a Harvest Review of the 2020-21 horticulture season, and they are seeking survey feedback from growers until Saturday, 26 June.
This review is a great opportunity for growers to have their say on the harvest issues that are important to them. The survey answers will help the government understand the support growers need for future harvests and how industry and government can work together to deliver this.
Growers will be asked to share their experience and opinions on management of the seasonal workforce challenges during the 2020-21 harvest season and their planned solutions for future harvests. The survey takes around 15 minutes to complete, and all responses are confidential.
Growers can complete the survey form online here.
The Harvest Review is part of the longer term ‘Harvest Review and Workforce Planning’ (HRWP) project, assessing the impacts of the 2020-21 harvest and using those lessons to help horticulture industries and businesses enjoy more effective and efficient harvests in future.
Agriculture Victoria will also be conducting a phone survey of horticulture businesses in future as part of the project. Taken together, this feedback will help shape future coordinated responses of government, business, industry and local communities to support horticulture farmers in harvest season.
