Fair Work Commission decision on piece work rates

The Fair Work Commission has made their decision on piece work rates. 

Start date for changes to piece rate provisions will be 28 April 2022. 

The Commission has made some minor amendments to clarify certain points. We will provide an update as soon as these details and their implications for farm businesses is clear. 

Growers are encouraged to review their record keeping and systems as these will be key to future operations and compliance requirements.

APAL has continued to take part in the NFF’s Hort Council discussions through this process to provide a voice and advocate on behalf of the industry. 

We will provide updated guidance and support for industry as further details are clarified.
