Exporters, have your say on the Trade Reform Research Panel

Export & Market Access

Are you an exporter?

The Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment (DAWE) are seeking input from horticulture exporters to improve the experience of exporting from Australia.

Expressions of Interest are open until 31 December, 2021, and those selected for the Trade Reform Research Panel will be asked to take part in research activities over a two-year period as DAWE transforms the exporting process to a digital format.

Jenny Van de Meeberg, APAL’s Head of Trade, said this is an opportunity for exporters to influence the development of digital tools and systems they use regularly.

“DAWE would like input from those who are consistent exporters familiar with the current processes so they can understand what is working and what could be improved,” Jenny said.

“By investing some of their time into DAWE’s research and consultation process, exporters can help yield useful outcomes such as improving export efficiencies, developing new tools or helping to shape the digital system they actually want to use.”
