APAL’s Spring Future Orchards® program features an online orchard talk and local, on-site orchard walks.

Tuesday 31 August, Perth Hills, WA

APAL’s WA Orchard Walk, hosted by Perth Hills orchardist Michael Della Pollina, will 

  • discuss apple scab and fungicide resistance in WA orchards with Dr Andrew Taylor, Plant Pathologist at DPIRD
  • hear Craig Kahlke of Cornell University‘s research update on the use of Harvista™ and ReTain® in US orchards.

Wednesday 1 September, Tamar Valley, Tasmania

We begin at the Sidmouth Hall before making our way to AAAW Calthorpe Orchards for in-orchard presentations and demonstrations. Our guest presenters include:

  • Brent McClintock, AAAW – Soil, nutrition and irrigation management at AAAW Calthorpe orchard
