Chris Leptos AO to present on the effectiveness of the Food and Grocery Code

At the 2023 APAL Industry Forum, Independent Reviewer of the Food and Grocery Code, Chris Leptos, will lead a discussion around whether the Food and Grocery Code is working for suppliers to the major supermarkets.

Through his role as Independent Reviewer, Chris has been closely monitoring the implementation of the Code and gathering feedback from suppliers and supermarkets alike. At the 2023 APAL Industry Forum, Chris will provide an in-depth analysis of how the code is working in practice, highlighting both the successes and challenges of the Code’s implementation.

In addition to his current roles, Chris has held various senior executive positions, including Managing Partner Government at EY, and General Manager of Corporate Development for Western Mining Corporation. He has also worked internationally, gaining valuable insights into global business practices.

As Independent Reviewer Chris has published two annual reports on the Code.

In 2000, Chris was designated a Member of the Order of Australia for services to business and the community, and in 2022 was designated an Officer of the Order of Australia.
