APAL and industry updates

Agriculture Victoria wants to hear from  any Yarra Valley producers impacted by last week’s storm.

As part of their work the state body routinely collects loss and damage information from rural landholders as part of Agricultural Relief operations following any storm or natural disaster event. This informs government and partner agencies of the agricultural impacts of an event and potential recovery needs.

Wild weather including winds of up to 124 kilometres per hour caused widespread damage last Thursday. If you were among those impacted, Agriculture Victoria would like to know the following information:

  1. What sort of damage has occurred?
  2. What is the likely impact on your business in terms of production, and if possible, estimate costs to the business?

All information is kept confidential.

To assist with this get in touch with Mark Hincksman by email or on 0437 254 913.
