Focus Orchard trial update: South Australia and Western Australia

April 2019 | Steve Spark, AgFirst | Future Orchards® Focus Orchard trial update

This April 2019 update covers the South Australian and Western Australian Focus Orchard program. It forms part of the national series of regional updates used to report commercial block progress and trial activity to growers.

The Focus Orchard approach relied on participating growers, advisers and locally relevant demonstrations. Updates such as this one provided a way to share what was being tested, record seasonal observations and connect regional work with the broader Future Orchards® network.

The document is particularly useful when read alongside the September 2019 Western Australian update and the other 2018–2019 regional reports, which together show how Focus Orchard priorities differed by region while following a common extension model.
