This third numbered Focus Orchard article continues the 2012–2014 reporting series and provides another seasonal checkpoint on participating commercial orchards and their local trial activity. By this stage, the Focus Orchard model was being used to connect regional questions with block data and practical demonstrations.

The program asked Front Line Advisers and growers to collect and interpret orchard information, host extension activities and run small applied trials on issues of local importance. These activities also fed into case studies and broader Future Orchards® communications so lessons from one region could be considered elsewhere.

The article is most useful as part of the numbered Focus Orchard sequence, documenting how the extension model evolved through repeated measurement and grower engagement rather than one-off recommendations.
