Apple and Pear Industry Production Research Development and Extension (RD&E) Advisory Panel
Hort Innovation in partnership with APAL is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified growers and other supply chain stakeholders for the Apple and Pear Research Development and Extension (RD&E) Strategic Investment Advisory Panel (SIAP).
The Apple and Pear RD&E Strategic Investment Advisory Panel will provide strategic investment advice to Hort Innovation in relation to industry research, development and extension programs funded by industry R&D levies and matching dollars from the Australian Government. They are guided by the strategic priorities set out in the industry Apple and Pear Strategic Investment Plan
We are seeking individuals with the following skills and experience:
- Strong industry network
- Understanding of risks and challenges
- Expertise in research/trials, both domestic and international
- Awareness of the latest innovation and new technology
- Knowledge of fruit logistics (post-harvest and supply)
- Apple and Pear producer
- Understanding of current communication and extension trends

Hort Innovation in partnership with APAL is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified industry members and other supply chain stakeholders for the Strategic Market Development Panel.
The Strategic Market Development Panel provide strategic investment advice to Hort Innovation in relation to industry demand creation programs funded from both the apple and pear marketing and R&D statutory levies. They are guided by the strategic priorities set out in the industry Apple and Pear Strategic Investment Plan
We are seeking individuals with the following skills and experience:
- Strong industry network
- Retail knowledge and experience
- Export knowledge and experience
- Apple and Pear industry experience
- Proficiency in strategy and data analysis
- Wholesaling experience
- Understanding of risks and challenges
- Understanding of seasonality and supply/demand
