RFP: Pathway to carbon-neutral – life cycle analysis (LCA) in almond orchards

Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project:  Pathway to carbon-neutral – life cycle analysis (LCA) in almond orchards (AL20005).

The objectives of the services being sought are to:

  • Provide a Life Cycle Assessment to define the almond industry greenhouse gas emission (GHGE) footprint and potential pathway to optimise reduction of GHGE.
  • Support the Australian almond industry to communicate the environmental impact for each life cycle component and develop future targets for environmental sustainability.
  • Provide growers with an understanding on the potential to improve the sustainability of their businesses.
  • Allow industry to identify the area of greatest return and value of progressing an application to develop approved offset methods and/or where further research is required to obtain the information needed to develop approved Carbon Market methods through the Commonwealth Government.

Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
