Future-proofing horticulture in a changing climate.
This event will bring together horticultural growers, industry and service providers to discuss recovery from recent industry impacts and explore innovations in horticulture.
The day is facilitated in two sections to allow flexibility for grower and industry attendees.
Agriculture Victoria is working with Victorian farmers and industry to prepare for, respond to and recover from natural disasters, including floods and storms. A range of support measures are available for flood and storm-affected farmers. Information about these measures can be found at agriculture.vic.gov.au/floods.’
MORNING 10 AM – 12.30 PM
Hear from expert speakers on key topics:
• Tips for managing disease in the orchard
• Making soils healthy after waterlogging
• Preparing orchards for extreme conditions.
AFTERNOON 1 PM – 3 PM
Tour the Tatura Smartfarm for demonstrations and conversations with
exhibitors on topics such as:
• Farmer health
• Business support
• Horticulture innovation and practices
• Technology and orchard management.

The apple and pear industry’s PIPS3 Program research team will be ready to provide information on orchard system and management practices, soils, irrigation, inter-row/tree-line practices, nutrition, IPDM and data management.
