Applying for the India pears quota
Export & Market AccessAustralian pear growers wishing to export product to India should make themselves familiar with the Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ).
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry manages the TRQ put in place by the Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (AI-ECTA), including an annual quota for pears of 3,700 tonnes.
Access to the quota is on a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis until the available quota amount has been exhausted.
