Applying for the India pears quota

Export & Market Access

Australian pear growers wishing to export product to India should make themselves familiar with the Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ).

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry manages the TRQ put in place by the Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (AI-ECTA), including an annual quota for pears of 3,700 tonnes.

Access to the quota is on a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis until the available quota amount has been exhausted.

The TRQ application form has been updated and can be found via the link below.

Don’t hesitate, apply now and take advantage of this amazing opportunity to expand your business.
