APAL Forum 2021 – Grow Beyond

APAL is excited to announce its 2021 Industry Forum will return next month.

The Forum will kick-off with welcome drinks on Sunday 30 May, with sessions continuing across Monday 31 May and Tuesday 1 June at the MCG in Melbourne.

“Across the past 18 months our industry has dealt with floods, fires and Covid-19. In every instance our industry has responded to become smarter, faster and more sustainable,” said Phil Turnbull APAL CEO.

“At the same time the pandemic has shown just how lucky we are as a nation to enjoy fresh, high-quality locally produced food,” said Phil.

“With this momentum behind us, our industry is incredibly well placed to grow further and faster than we may have thought possible,” said Phil.

As Australia’s peak body representing the apple and pear industry, APAL aims to provide local producers with access to the knowledge, tools and resources to drive the ongoing success of their orchards and with it the thousands of jobs, businesses and communities that make up Australia’s apple and pear industry.

Grow Beyond is the theme for this year’s Forum and encapsulates the exciting line up of speakers and the opportunity we are creating for our industry to come together in person and online,” said Phil.

The session topics include the future for managed varieties, understanding tomorrow’s consumers along with a full line up of research, development and extension topics and presenters, panels and Q&A sessions specifically designed for the apple and pear industry.

“Our booking arrangements will go live from next week and will include a concierge service to assist participants book the mix of social events and forum sessions – and provide an ongoing contact if travel arrangements need to change. All Forum event bookings include our promise of a 100% refund if the event is unable to go ahead,” said Phil.
